Sperry Marine, NAVIGAT 3500 Fiber Optic Gyro Compass

The Sperry Marine NAVIGAT 3500 Fiber Optic Gyro Compass is a networked fibre-optic gyrocompass and Motion Reference Unit (MRU) designed to provide accurate vessel heading and motion data. It uses solid-state fibre-optic gyroscope technology with no moving parts, reducing maintenance requirements and improving long-term reliability.
Integrated with Sperry Marine’s CompassNet heading management system, it provides heading, rate of turn (ROT), roll, pitch, heave and horizontal angular-rate data. It supports integration with navigation displays, heading repeaters, autopilots and other compatible bridge equipment. It is suitable for commercial vessels, tankers, LNG carriers, offshore support vessels and high-speed craft.
