The AMI MIC-0012 is an internal microphone designed to record bridge conversations and ambient audio for the AMI X2 VDR and S-VDR systems. It uses three-wire technology to simplify retrofit installation and may allow existing microphone cabling to be reused where compatible. The microphone features a balanced 600-ohm audio output, 12 V DC power supplied by the MEU, and an automatic self-test function to monitor microphone operation.
