The Garmin GMR™ 1234 xHD3 (K10-00012-26) is a commercial-grade open-array marine radar system that pairs a high-output 12 kW magnetron pedestal with a 4-foot open-array antenna, delivering high-definition target tracking up to 72 nautical miles. Operating with a 1.8-degree horizontal beamwidth and dual rotation speeds of 24 and 48 RPM, it provides rapid screen refresh rates and target isolation on compatible Garmin chartplotters. Digital processing features include scan-averaging technology to filter out sea clutter and noise, angular target-size processing to refine visual shapes, True Echo Trails to plot historical vessel movements, and Dual Range mode for simultaneous short- and long-range monitoring on a split display. The radar supports Auto Bird Gain for locating flocking sea life, MARPA target tracking for up to 30 targets, radar chart overlay, and Dynamic Auto Gain and Sea Filtering. Housed in a heavy-duty enclosure rated for 100-knot winds, it operates on 10 to 32 VDC power systems, connects via the Garmin Marine Network, carries an IPX6 water resistance rating, and comes supplied with 15-meter power and network interconnect cables.
