The Furuno FS-1575 is a 150-Watt MF/HF SSB radiotelephone system manufactured by Furuno Electric Co., Ltd. in Japan. Engineered for general maritime communications and distress operations, the FS-1575 features an integrated Class A Digital Selective Calling (DSC) transceiver and DSC watch receiver. It fully satisfies SOLAS and GMDSS carriage requirements for commercial vessels operating in A2, A3, and A4 sea areas.
The system centers around a high-contrast 4.3-inch color LCD display and an intuitive control unit (FS-2575C), backed by an automatic antenna coupler (AT-1575) and transceiver unit (FS-1575T). Operating simultaneously as a communication terminal and a dedicated DSC watch receiver across all distress/safety frequencies, the FS-1575 offers high reliability, custom channel programming, and optional Narrow Band Direct Printing (NBDP/Telex) integration.
