The Garmin Cortex® V1 Hub (Part Number: 010-02814-20) is an all-in-one marine communications, collision avoidance, and vessel monitoring solution that integrates a full Class D DSC VHF radio with a smartAIS® SOTDMA transponder into a single blackbox unit. Delivering 5 watts of transmit power via SOTDMA technology, the system continuously calculates collision risks, generating proactive, non-spurious voice and graphic alerts while allowing users to initiate direct DSC calls to target vessels with a single touch. Operating as a central communications hub, it connects with up to 10 wired or wireless Cortex handsets for multi-station intercom and radio coverage across the vessel. Built-in sensors and external inputs continuously monitor critical systems—such as battery voltage, bilge water levels, power supply, and ambient temperature—delivering real-time vessel status and geofence alerts directly to compatible chartplotters, handsets, or remotely via the Cortex Monitor smart app. With integrated NMEA 2000, Wi-Fi, and heading sensor connectivity, the IPX7-rated V1 Hub modernizes helm safety, radio control, and remote security in a unified, space-saving system.
