The Garmin GSD™ 28 Sonar Module (Part Number: 010-02797-00) is a high-powered, high-definition sonar black box engineered specifically for serious offshore sportfishing at extreme depths. Featuring next-generation xCHIRP sonar technology paired with Garmin RapidReturn™ technology, it delivers 2 to 6 times the transmit rate of legacy sonar modules, allowing captains to receive fast, smooth, and continuous real-time target data on compatible chartplotters. Capable of driving dual-channel CHIRP frequencies between 25 kHz and 250 kHz with a scalable output power from 300 W up to 3 kW RMS, the GSD 28 reaches depths down to 10,000 feet while delivering sharp fish arch definition and clear target separation. Additionally, when integrated with a compatible satellite compass, built-in heave compensation actively neutralizes wave motion and swell to ensure consistent bottom readings. Housed in a fully gasketed, IPX7 waterproof aluminum enclosure, the module utilizes Garmin BlueNet™ high-speed network connectivity to effortlessly integrate into high-end marine electronics setups.
