The Garmin SteadyCast™ Heading Sensor (010-11417-10) is a compact, high-precision NMEA 2000 orientation module designed to deliver stable bow-heading data to chartplotters, radars, and marine displays. Powered by 9-axis MEMS technology, it provides heading output at 10 Hz with ±3 degrees accuracy, preventing chart screen spinning and ensuring accurate target tracking through MARPA and radar overlays—even when hovering, trolling at slow speeds, or navigating rough waters. Encased in an IPX7 waterproof housing operating on 9–32 VDC, the unit features flexible, multi-orientation mounting options and comes with an integrated 1.8 m (6 ft) drop cable and T-connector for direct plug-and-play network integration.
