The SAILOR 6110 Mini-C GMDSS is a maritime Inmarsat-C satellite communication system designed for GMDSS distress and safety communications. It provides reliable transmission and reception of distress alerts and maritime safety information through the Inmarsat-C network.
The system combines the SAILOR 3027C Mini-C transceiver with a SAILOR 6018 Message Terminal and can also support SSAS and LRIT functions. The system uses a compact antenna and NMEA 2000/CAN-BUS networking for integration with other shipboard equipment.
A significant current feature is printerless GMDSS operation. Cobham SATCOM released software in April 2025 enabling the SAILOR 6110 to operate without a dedicated printer, supporting the digital GMDSS requirements under IMO Resolution MSC.434(98). The updated software received MED, UK Marine Mark and CCS type approvals.
