The YDK MDR-290 is a high-reliability paperless course recorder designed by YDK Technologies for commercial vessel navigation bridges. Engineered to replace traditional paper-based course recorders, the MDR-290 processes digital NMEA data inputs from gyrocompasses, speed logs, and rudder angle indicators to display and record real-time vessel heading and voyage data.
By eliminating chart paper, pens, and mechanical drive components, the MDR-290 significantly reduces bridge maintenance and consumable costs. Recorded navigation history is stored digitally in internal memory and can be easily retrieved or exported via SD card or USB for flag state inspections, incident investigation, and voyage record auditing.
Key Features:
• Paperless Digital Storage: Completely eliminates chart paper rolls, recording pens, and mechanical wear parts.
• Multi-Signal Integration: Logs NMEA 0183 inputs including heading (gyro/sat compass), rudder angle, and speed log.
• Clear Visual Display: Displays real-time graphical trend curves and numerical navigation data.
• Easy Data Export: Allows quick transfer of logged voyage data via SD card or USB storage drive.
• Compact Bridge Installation: Compact design suitable for flush console mounting or bracket installation.
