The Garmin Reactor™ 40 Hydraulic Corepack with SmartPump v2 with GHC™ 20 Autopilot Instrument (Part Number: 010-00705-79) is a comprehensive, high-performance autopilot system engineered for hydraulically steered powerboats and sailboats. The heart of the setup is the SmartPump v2, a one-size-fits-most hydraulic assembly featuring a quiet, efficient brushless motor that automatically adjusts flow rates (0 to 2.4 L/min) to accommodate steering cylinders ranging from 4 to 24 cu. in. Controlled by a solid-state 9-axis Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) Course Computer Unit (CCU), the corepack allows flexible mounting orientations while actively minimizing heading error, rudder movement, and power draw in rolling sea conditions. It features patented Shadow Drive™ technology, which disengages the autopilot when manual helm intervention is detected and re-engages once a steady course is re-established. Dedicated helm control is provided by the included GHC™ 20 control head—a bright, 4-inch glass-bonded color display with anti-glare optics—while full NMEA 2000® networking enables complete integration with compatible Garmin chartplotters, optional wireless remotes, and quatix® smartwatches.
