The Garmin Reactor™ 40 Hydraulic Corepack with SmartPump v2 Without GHC™ Autopilot Instrument (Part Number: 010-00705-78) is a premium, high-performance autopilot package engineered for vessels with hydraulically steered powerboats and sailboats. Functioning without a dedicated helm control unit, the corepack utilizes the versatile SmartPump v2, a compact, one-size-fits-most assembly featuring a brushless motor that automatically adjusts hydraulic flow (0–2.4 L/min) to accommodate steering cylinder sizes from 4 to 24 cu. in.. It is driven by a solid-state 9-axis Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) Course Computer Unit (CCU) that offers flexible mounting orientation, minimizes course deviation and power draw, and dynamically compensates for pitch and roll in heavy seas. The package includes patented Shadow Drive™ technology to automatically disengage the autopilot when manual helm input is detected and re-engage once a steady course is held. System management, commissioning, and path-following features like Auto Guidance are routed entirely through compatible networked Garmin chartplotters over NMEA 2000®, as well as optional handheld remotes or quatix® smartwatches.
