The JRC JAN-7201S and JAN-9201S are the Standalone (S-Type) versions of JRC’s ECDIS lineup. They share the core processing capabilities, software interface, and chart engine of the standard JAN-7201/9201 series, but are optimized with a compact, simplified architecture ideal for retrofits, standalone bridge installations, and streamlined panel/desktop mounting.
Unified Route Editing: Integrates graphical chart editing and tabular waypoint editing into a single interface. Changes made on the chart instantly reflect in the numerical table and vice-versa. Supports simultaneous editing of up to 4 routes.
One-Click Route Safety Check: Scans planned routes for shallow waters, safety contours, and restricted zones, highlighting errors dynamically on both the chart and table.
Intuitive jGUI Interface: Features an icon-based menu layout while maintaining critical navigation data in fixed display zones for uninterrupted situation monitoring.
Smart Mouseover Pop-ups: Hovering over AIS or Target Tracking (TT) symbols displays vital target information (CPA, TCPA, SOG, COG) instantly.
Tactile Operating Unit: Driven by the NCE-5605 trackball unit, which features alert-based LED color changes and physical vibration feedback.
