The Garmin GT15M-IH In-Hull Mount Transducer is a high-performance, mid-band CHIRP sonar unit designed for boats that need reliable depth readings at high speeds without the interference of cavitation. Because it is installed inside the boat, it is protected from marine growth and physical damage from debris or trailers.
This transducer is specifically engineered for solid fiberglass hulls and comes with a set of adjustable tanks to match various hull angles. It is frequently used in “dual transducer” setups, paired with a transom-mount scanning unit (like a GT30 or GT36) to provide the best possible sonar coverage at all speeds.
In-Hull Installation: Mounts inside the hull, shooting the sonar signal through the fiberglass. This eliminates drag and prevents cavitation issues common with transom mounts at high speeds.
Mid-Band CHIRP (85–165 kHz): Offers excellent target separation and the power to reach significant depths while maintaining a clear picture of the water column.
Adjustable Hull Compatibility: Includes four plastic mounting tanks designed to accommodate deadrise angles between 0° and 25°.
High-Speed Tracking: Specifically designed to maintain a consistent bottom lock and accurate depth readings even when the boat is on plane or traveling at 20+ knots.

Hull Material: Must be mounted to solid fiberglass. It will not function if installed over wood, metal, or cored hulls.
