Furuno, FA-40 AIS Receiver

The Furuno FA-40 is a compact AIS (Automatic Identification System) receiver designed to receive AIS signals from nearby vessels and coastal stations. Unlike transponders, it is a receive-only device, meaning it does not transmit your vessel’s information.

It is mainly used to monitor vessel traffic and improve situational awareness onboard
