The Simrad GS70 is an IMO-compliant “Smart Antenna” designed specifically for the professional and commercial maritime markets. It is the core position sensor for the Simrad GN70, MX610, and MX612 navigation systems, as well as the modern P2005 and P3007 series.
Unlike standard consumer antennas, the GS70 is engineered for high reliability, fast update rates, and seamless integration into professional bridge networks via NMEA 2000.
The GS70 is a high-sensitivity 32-channel GNSS receiver housed in a rugged, compact dome. It is designed to provide stable position data even in challenging environments, such as high-interference harbors or narrow channels.
