The Tokyo Keiki TD-310 (formerly Tokimec) is an IMO type-approved, single-axis Doppler Speed Log designed for commercial vessels exceeding 300 GT. Utilizing high-frequency acoustic pulse Doppler technology, it delivers high-accuracy Speed Through Water (STW) measurements compliant with IMO Resolution MSC.96(72) standards.
Dual-Beam Ultrasonic Doppler System: Emits high-frequency acoustic pulses fore and aft to measure speed relative to the water layer, automatically cancelling out pitching and rolling motions.
High-Visibility Digital Readout: Compact, flush-mounting bridge display unit featuring bright LED digital readouts for real-time speed, total nautical distance, and daily trip distance.
Boundary Layer Filtering: Features built-in digital signal processing (DSP) to reject aeration noise, turbulent boundary-layer flow, and acoustic interference around the hull.
Flexible Interfacing: Outputs standard IEC 61162-1 / NMEA 0183 data strings to bridge systems (RADAR, ECDIS, VDR, Autopilot) and provides contact closure speed pulses to legacy equipment.
