The Raymarine Ray53 is a full-function, compact marine VHF radio equipped with Class D Digital Selective Calling (DSC). Designed with a small footprint to save dashboard space, it features an aesthetic styled to complement the Axiom family of multifunction displays.
Integrated GPS/GNSS: Includes a built-in 72-channel receiver with an internal ceramic chip antenna. A TNC connection point is available for an optional external passive antenna to improve reception when mounted below deck or in enclosed cabins.
Class D DSC: Provides enhanced safety features, including one-touch distress alerts and direct calling, once a boat’s MMSI number is programmed.
Dual-Protocol Networking: Supports both NMEA 2000 (via SeaTalkng) and legacy NMEA 0183 for seamless integration with chartplotters and other onboard electronics.
Audio Expansion: Features a dedicated RCA audio output for connecting an optional passive remote speaker (A80542) to provide audio in a second location.
Ruggedized Build: Rated IPX6 and IPX7 for waterproofing, ensuring reliability in harsh maritime environments.
