The NSR Alpha 40s is a professional-grade portable VHF radiotelephone designed for daily on-board communication. Unlike GMDSS emergency radios that use primary lithium batteries, the Alpha 40s is optimized for frequent use with a high-capacity rechargeable lithium battery system.
