The Simrad RS100 is a professional-grade, modular “Black Box” Marine VHF radio system designed for high-end motor yachts and commercial vessels. By separating the transceiver from the interface, it allows for a clean, “glass bridge” helm aesthetic while providing the power and reliability of a Class D DSC communication suite.
The RS100 is built around a centralized “Black Box” transceiver (the NRS-1) that is typically mounted in a hidden location, such as behind the dashboard or in a dedicated electronics locker. It is fully controlled via wired HS100 handsets or wireless HS40 handsets. This modularity allows a single radio system to support multiple stations across the bridge, flybridge, and crew quarters, functioning as both a radio and a vessel-wide intercom.
Key Features

-
Multi-Station Support: The system can be expanded to support up to eight handsets (four wired HS100 and four wireless HS40) and four external speakers.
-
Audio Rewind: Includes a 60-second “Track Back” feature that allows you to replay the last minute of incoming audio to confirm coordinates or instructions.
