JRC, JHS-183 AIS Class A Automatic Identification System (AIS)

The Japan Radio Co. JHS-183 AIS is a Class A Automatic Identification System (AIS) used on ships to improve navigation safety and avoid collisions.

The JHS-183 is a shipborne communication and tracking system that automatically:

Transmits your vessel’s information (name, position, speed, course, cargo, etc.)
Receives and displays data from nearby ships
