The RVI 02-004 is a Remote Video Interface made by Danelec Marine, intended for use in VDR / S-VDR (Voyage Data Recorder / Simplified VDR) systems.
Its role is to interface analog video sources (typically from radar or other legacy video equipment) and feed them into the VDR system for recording.
It allows older equipment (that does not output digital video over Ethernet) to still be included in the VDR data stream.

| Addressing | A rotary switch on the rear panel sets the RVI address. – For RVI units powered via PoE from the DPU, the address must be 0 (for first unit). – For locally powered units, address values from 1 to 4 must be used uniquely. |
