The KV-290 is built for heavy-duty marine use with a rugged, waterproof chassis. It features an Independent DSC Dedicated Receiver, which means the radio can constantly monitor Channel 70 for distress calls even while you are talking on another channel.
A standout feature is its ATIS (Automatic Transmitter Identification System) capability, making it fully legal and functional for European inland waterways and canals. It also includes the signature ONWA Vibration Water Draining function, which uses sound vibrations to clear the speaker grille if it gets splashed.
