The IR761 receives NMEA 0183 data from a master wind sensor (like the AM706) to display real-time weather conditions. It is specifically designed for bridge consoles, providing navigators with “at-a-glance” data for relative or true wind values.
Dual-Circle LED Display: * Outer Circle (Red LEDs): Shows the current wind direction.
Inner Circle (Orange LEDs): Shows the variation in wind direction.
Three-Row Numeric Display: * Top row shows current average wind speed.
Second row shows maximum gust/peak speed recorded during the interval.
Selectable Units: Users can cycle between knots, m/s, km/h, and mph.
Programmable Averaging: The “F” key allows you to set the wind speed averaging interval to 1, 2, 5, or 10 minutes.
Visual Alarms: Displays “ERR” if the signal is lost and “—-” if the data received is incorrect or corrupted.
